“Groverville’s Own” Published by the Saturday Evening Post

On February 17th, 2026, the Saturday Evening Post released their ebook anthology of best short stories from this year’s edition of their annual Great American Fiction Contest. “Groverville’s Own” by Elisabeth Grace Foley features in the anthology, as an honorable mention in the contest.

“Groverville’s Own” is a historical fiction story set in 1944, which follows a newspaper reporter paying a visit to a small Indiana town in 1944 to do a story on a famous songwriter recently killed in World War II.
