“Valiant-For-Truth” Wins the Peacemaker Award

On June 15th, 2025, Western Fictioneers announced the winners of the 15th annual Peacemaker Awards for Western fiction. “Valiant-For-Truth” by Elisabeth Grace Foley, published in the multi-author anthology Through Western Storms, edited by Richard Prosch, was named the winner in the category of Best Short Fiction.

Elisabeth was previously a Peacemaker Award finalist in 2015 with her short novel Left-Hand Kelly, and in 2021 with her short story “Dakota Clothesline.”
